Professional Experience

Normala has both individual and team coaching experience across a variety of industries in the private and governmental sector. She is Director of Coaching for Singapore’s PMCG and regularly acts as coach to C-suite clients. She is especially skilled at the development of Asian talent for International assignments, career/life coaching, mentoring for women leaders, helping develop effectiveness partnership between men and women, the development of assertiveness and personal impact, eliminating phobias and fears and team coaching. Normala is Singaporean and has been a full time as a coach/trainer/therapist for 20 years operating both in the region and internationally. Clients comment on her ability to link business leadership performance to deeper internal personal drives, and in helping her clients shift behaviour and cope with the dynamics of change. In particular Normala has a reputation for helping leaders succeed in the international business environment, move from a technical to a people focus, understand the big picture of international business, and for developing the necessary “presence” and leadership skills to succeed.

 

She has designed and conducted coaching and mentoring global projects for the UN and World Bank which has been implemented in Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Columbia, Peru, Syria, Mexico and Kenya. Her role as project manager has involved her in design and implementation of the program, designing conducting and evaluating the mentoring training, as well as coaching mentors.

 

Qualifications & Accreditations

Normala is certified as a Marshall Goldsmith Stakeholder Coach, Belbin Team Style Facilitator, Cross Cultural Coach, 360 Leadership Coach, Hermann Brain Dominance Trainer as well as being experienced in the use of a variety of interpersonal, conflict management, leadership and leadership assessment tools. She has an MSc in counseling and is certified in corporate coaching by CoachU. Normala has worked with executives from a variety of organisations including: Nokia, HP, Ciba, Bodyshop, JPMorganChase, Deutsche Bank, AkzoNobel, Abbott Laboratories, Shell, Isuzu, BHP Billiton, Mead Johnson, Alcon.
